What you walk in with
Eight things you’ll do before your first CRM job
- Clean data before you count itCatch the duplicate rows, test orders and spelling slips that throw off a pivot table.
- Compare channels fairlyUse revenue per 1,000 messages delivered, so WhatsApp, email and push sit on one scale.
- Build a cohort tableSee when new customers come back for a second order, month by month.
- Pick the right customers to chaseSort everyone into segments, then say which group comes first and why.
- Know what a journey really addedWelcome got credit for 139 orders. Against a group that got no messages, it added about 4.
- Read an A/B test without guessingKnow when a higher number isn’t proof yet, and how long a fair test runs.
- Turn numbers into a decisionEvery finding ends in a change for next month. That’s what managers want.
- Walk in with work to showThree finished reports for your portfolio, checked against ours.

What would you tell the head of growth?
From Project 3 · Monthly review
“Total CRM revenue is down in June. Is that a problem?” June brought in ₹15.0 lakh against ₹17.7 lakh in May, down 15%. Journeys earned ₹12.9 lakh, up 8.9%. One-time campaigns earned ₹2.1 lakh, down 63.8%.
May had a mid-year sale, from 20 to 25 May.
Pick the reply you’d send.
That’s the first mistake the kit warns about: calling June a bad month without seeing that May had a sale.
That’s the answer. It finds where the drop came from and why, before anyone panics.
May’s campaigns had a sale behind them, so June looks weak next to it. Judge July against June, not against a sale month.
What it’s testing
Whether you check what moved and why before calling a number good or bad. A review says what happened, why, and what changes next month.
The kit’s version
“Don’t panic at -15%. All of the fall is one-time campaigns, and May had a mid-year sale. Journeys grew 8.9% and cost less. Judge July against June, not against a sale month.”
That’s one page of the kit. See it as it is:

Questions, answered
I’ve never worked in CRM. Can I do these?
Yes. Each project opens with a note from your manager and numbered steps. A column guide explains every column before you start.
Do I need SQL or Python?
No. Everything is done in Excel or Google Sheets, with pivot tables, SUMIFS and COUNTIFS. Project 3 needs two statistics formulas, and the brief gives you both.
How long does each project take?
About 3 to 4 hours for the first, and 4 to 5 hours each for the other two. A few evenings per project is plenty.
Is the data real?
No. It’s practice data for a made-up brand, Compound Lab Beverages, that sells coffee and tea. It’s sized like a real export: Project 2 alone has 46,950 orders from six months.
How do I use these in an interview?
Put your finished report in your portfolio and walk through it: the finding, the number, and the change you’d make. Score 8 or more out of 10 and you’re ready for an interview case.
What do I get, and in what format?
Three project folders. Each has a 2-page brief (PDF), an Excel data file, and an answer pack with a slide-by-slide answer deck (PDF) and an answer key workbook. The folder link arrives by email.
Is this for sales CRM roles like Salesforce?
No. This is marketing CRM: campaigns, segments and journeys on WhatsApp, email, SMS and push. If the job is about sales pipelines, this isn’t the right kit.
Why is it free right now?
The first 100 learners get it free as the founding batch, in return for one honest review after a week. After that it sells for ₹399.
Do I get a certificate?
No. You get three finished reports you can show and talk through, which is what interviewers judge.
